2016 EX-T sedan first fill up miles

odo said 393
I put 10.351 gallons in at $2.19 ... $22.69

393/10.351 = 37.96 mpg

This is with haveng the eco button pushed in for 1/2 a tank and released for the second 1/2 of the tank.

I will test this tank with eco off unitl the next fill up.

Edit

This is a mix of small city, highway and back country roads.

i think that's above the civic's estimated combined average for fuel economy. Was eco mode used mostly in the city roads?

Interested to hear during what periods of time was the eco on and off. Majority highway or majority city ? I personally would run a full tank on eco and a full tank off to really see the difference. Some vehicles show a big difference from the first half tank being burnt compared to the second

I'm still on my first tank and have been running on Eco the entire time. I look forward to my second tank on Eco to see what the real mileage is (some of the miles were test drives by others). Transitioning from a Tacoma that gets about 24 MPG average, and it feels like I'm driving forever before a fill-up.

What's your driving style like and what things are you doing with the way you drive to make sure you get better mileage?

Keep us posted on how it goes.

Lol, the Civic mileage will make the Tacoma's look like peanuts. But then again, you don't really get pickups for the fuel savings anyways.

Yeah. I think the sticker says combined city/hwy is 35. The eco was pushed in at the top half of the first tank. Released at the bottom half. Driving city/country road/hwy was basically identical for both sides of 1/2.

I too am coming off a Tacoma V6 4x4 Acc. Cab. getting 24 was rare for me. .. Maybe Id get that if I babied it on the highway.

For sure, Ive already noticed a difference in the amount of gas I'm using. Fill ups alone. 21.1 opposed to 12.4 with at least an increase of 1.5 times the mileage. Yep. Nice change.

Sometimes I'll find that I'll get worse mileage with eco mode. Especially with high speed. WIth eco mode at 75mph its trying to keep it at a low RPM and struggling to stay there. With it off, it hits the desired speed effortlessly and coasts more.

Second fill up 10.915 @ 2.11, $23.13 768 on ode .. 393 since the last fill up. This tank 375 miles

375/10.915 = 34.35 mpg. Same mix of driving. Small city/hwy/country road.

For this third tank, I will leave eco on and report status.
