I am new to California, so I don't have any friends. I don't do a lot of driving as I am not working. I usually only travel locally.

I am planning on stopping by the gas station again this week to speak with the manager and see if the diesel nozzle fits into my tank.

I went back to the gas station today and the diesel nozzle did fit into my car. I believe I put diesel in my tank. I deserve to wear a dunce cap. The diesel handle was green. I always thought green was associated with unleaded. Lesson learned.

It's not too bad, could happen to anyone and my mom did that to my car once... It was with one of the new nozzles that won't fit a gas opening too, but my mom somehow filled the tank with diesel anyways and the car wouldn't start anymore.

Maybe that's where the phrase "Mother of Invention" is from...

That's probably why typically there are a number of indicators included that tell you its different; color of nozzle and the rest of the colors going on in that area compared to the gasoline side and even the positioning of the diesel pump which sometimes is more than a few feet away. If insurance didn't cover it, that would be one costly nightmare, but if you know a good independent mechanic shop then your a bit better off.

It wasn't too bad to fix, just a pain to tow it to a garage and have them pump out the diesel. Don't really need insurance to step with these cases.

I am going through this right now. It happened 12/04/2016 and it took 3 tow trucks to figure out how to tow it. I went to the dealer and all they said is that it was a computer thing and had to reset. And yesterday 01/24/2016 it happened again. The dealer just called me a little bit ago and need to replace the transmission and will be 7-10 days. I am so sick over it. I lost of day of work the last time as the one closest to me did not have loaners. I went to where I bought this time and at least I have a loaner car.

He told me to call my insurance company. Shouldn't this be covered under my warranty? I only have 1,000 miles on it. Makes me wish I didn't purchase this car.
