2016+ Honda Civic HID Kits?

Can anyone recommend a HID Kit for the Civic?

(Context: My wife car has Xenon's. I have envy.)

Are they easy to install?

I saw this while googling and was tempted, but I know nothing about this topic: https://www.hidextra.com/h11-hid-kit-35w-55w/

for my 2013 Accord, I bought them from Zenon Supply. Knowledgeable and helpful staff-good price.

HID is thing of the past, you should look into DOT compliance LED light bulbs

I was thinking of this one: https://www.xenondepot.com/H11-LED-he...h11-led-hl.htm but there were no clear directions on how to install on any car... and I wonder if the heat dissipating ribbon really works. (I've heard that LED fans fail in a tough environment like a car.)

Anyone want to give this a try first?

Yeah, if the mechanical connections to the LED of the heat conductor are delicate in any way, I have concerns that they may fail with heat/cold cycles, vibration etc. And a fan! Introducing moving parts where none existed previously is a red flag to me. Do the LED headlights on the Touring Civic, or for that matter the LED Low beams on the Corolla have fans?

Edit: OOps, clicked on the link. That H11 LED looks pretty robust, and NO FANS! Flexible copper mesh conductors... Love to see one of these in action!

Me too. I'm concerned that the copper mesh conductors will negatively impact something else. Also, I wasn't sure whether there was canbus or not (additional $18).

For now I'm just going to go with new halogen bulbs, and wait for other people to let me know how this works out.

So Team3D, have you actually done this on 2016 Civic???. If so, how was the install. I find it lame the Civic either has halogen or LED's but no HID.

I would seriously consider doing the kit from Xenon Depot if it works and install is easy.

Anyone else try this yet????

I have done this to other cars with regular HID kits but never an LED kit.

I just bought the car a few hrs ago so haven't had a chance to look inside the hood yet.

thanks for teh article! I think the LED white bulbs are illegal in my city and half the year is winter so it's range will be reduced half the time to a normal bulb.
