Question Is it necessary to reset the ECU after installing a intake?

The title pretty much sums up my question.

I've heard from various people that suggest resetting or re-calibrating the ECU to account for the additional air from the intake.

But then again.. I've heard people say it's not necessary because the car will adjust automatically.

What's your take?

I drive a 2017 Civic Type R
