Thumbs up Civic 1.5T CVT - 0 to 60 mph 6.8sec - C&D

https://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/...t-drive-review

"We just clocked the turbocharged 2016 Civic at 6.8 seconds to 60, with its 174 horsepower and 162 lb-ft of torque. The 2.0-liter also has an old-school Honda charm that the 1.5-liter’s standard CVT automatic dulls a bit; if character counts, the 2.0-liter makes a case for itself."

3rd paragraph. That is pretty darn good considering 9th gen civic si does it in low 6's. And it also is rated at 31/42 mpg ?? Uhhh.. wow...

Looks like more crappy tires on the car. It actually did worse in the skid pad and stopping than the 2014 sedan... let down... hoping the coupe has better tires, if not, easy fix to get stickier tires that'll compliment the new chassis better.

Can't believe they wanna complain at the end of the article... too much style, too much tech, too much blah blah blah, it's "just" a compact car..

Seriously car and driver? After how much everyone hated the 9th gen you're going to complain the new civic is TOO good???? Considering the price point, and what comes on these cars? And that performance upgrade? This is exactly what they want compact affordable cars to be...

And the car tested is the heaviest model, the touring sedan... lower trims will weigh less and should be even quicker... i bet the EX-T coupe shaves a tenth or 2 off that time.

Even with a turbo 6.8 seconds to 60 is pretty fast for 92 cubic inches pulling a sedan! Thumbs up!
