3 week old Civic Touring
Lost 7" display, completely black
Displays system update at top. Sometimes gives option to reboot, or download.
anyone with this problem. No cameras, no heat controls, no radio, phone, etc.
You'll have to bring it to the dealership because I don't think it's something you can fix yourself. Luckily, it should still be under factory warranty so they should repair it for free.
Car is at dealership for the past two days. Honda tech in CA has the dealership ordering a replacement radio unit. I have heard there is amp & tuner units. Hopefully this will resolve issue.
Presently display is out. can't use heat controls no defrost. It is winter here in the Midwest. Tomorrow will be a third day without the car. Honda has some issues with this system.
Nice car when it works. Good Luck to all you Touring owners!
Why no loaner car? That seems very odd to me considering you have no heat because of it. I'd be more pissed about not having a loaner car. As long as they fix it, OK, but no loaner???
Picked up Car Thursday 1-7-16
Everything I have checked so far seems to be working.
the Display is functioning well.
The Dealer Replaced the AUDIO/NAVIGATION UNIT. (PER THE TECH LINE)
One thing i noticed when using Bluetooth, the music does not skip any more this problem has been corrected. Info for those with that problem.
Interesting, so the new head unit fixed your bluetooth issues, too? That's great! I wonder if you are now running an updated software version or something
Good to hear that they replaced the system and it works better than before. I think the new infotainment system has the latest update so that may be why Bluetooth work properly now. Going to be costly if Honda has to replace every unit that doesn't connect.
I need the the new version of Software.
Replacing the Audio/Nav unit brouight back my display cleaned up Bluetooth skipping.
But there are still some of the issues. Loss of sound as if on mute.
Waiting on dealer to let me know when they have the latest software for the Audio unit.
Supposedly Pioneer is sending this to all dealers.
My Car was manufactured before the new software updates were being used.
Your hopes may be set too high. The software coming from Pioneer for the TSB 16-1 issue is not "audio unit" software if you mean head unit, Android, Bluetooth, CarPlay, etc., software. It's software for the Touring-unique audio power amplifier for the "no audio audible at startup" issue. If head unit software is like Windows, this is like updated firmware for your digicam or printer or router, installed using Windows.
