So I emailed my service manager, and he said this is very possible that this could be done, mating this remote with the current system installed on the Touring.
He said he has to do some research to find out if it will indeed extend the run time to 20 minutes on the first pop.
If it does, then I'm all over it, because I'm sick of my car running only 10 minutes, nowhere near enough time in New England cold weather!

He should be able to extend the run time if the key is indeed compatible.

The manual:
Quote:
20-minute mode
1. After starting the engine, repeat step 1 in 10-
minute mode.
2. The transmitter emits two rapid beeps and sends a
signal to extend the idling time. After extending the
idling time, the transmitter emits another sound
twice, and the each indicator is shown on the
display.
NOTE:
• Note that you cannot return the remote engine
starter system to the 10-minute mode after changing
to the 20-minute mode by operating the transmitter.
• The engine cannot start for 20 minutes even though
you stop the engine within 10 minutes after
exceeding the time to the 20-minute mode.
• When the front door (either the driver-side door or
the passenger-side door) is opened or the ignition
switch is turned on with the ignition key, the inhibition
will be canceled, allowing restarting of the engine.

Looking forward to hearing his reply. The only possible way it would not be compatible is if the remote receiver components that Honda put in the car at the factory are not compatible with the "Remote Start II" system. This could end up being the case, lets hope not.

That would be fabulous if Reds dealer has a fix!!! The remote starter is not New England friendly. Please keep us updated and thanks for looking in to this.
