10th Gen Civic Apple CarPlay Problem

Hi I’m new to this form. I have a 2018 Civic Touring and recently when I use the Apple CarPlay and try to re start the song say mid way through it would say on the screen in re started but the song would just keep playing maybe would like stop for a split second but would other wise just keep playing the song. I thought at first it might just be the wheel controls, but it happened when I tried to use the infotainment system as well. I tried forgetting the device and re connecting to CarPlay but that didn’t work. I also tried to do a factory reset on the system which still didn’t work. Does anyone have any ideas or has experienced this themselves. I tried a few cords as well so it wasn’t that.
