Honda has a really sweet 1-motor hybrid system in the Fit that includes a 6-speed DCT. The electric motor handles 1st gear so, in effect, it's a 7-speed transmission with the torquey, smooth electric motor handling the start. It's a shame we can't buy it in the US. Honda's 2-motor system is probably the best hybrid system on the market now. Production problems with the hybrid Accord have kept the price out of range for many, though. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the new Civic hybrid. I want gas prices to stay low so that demand for the hybrid will not be that strong, but not so low that Honda refuses to bring it here like they did the Fit.
