They haven't released the on sale date. They've just said "before thanksgiving" so we're guessing late october early november.

Most likely the cars are already in production and have been for a few weeks to build inventory to be shipped out to all of the dealerships.

Some members have already placed orders for the 10th gen to reserve them, though official pricing has not been released, some dealers are already placing orders.

Pricing available october 19th...they're already in production

The two dealers I spoke to have already placed their initial orders last week, for delivery on second or 3rd week in October. They are going to email me when they are on delivery truck.

I am told around Oct 23rd, is the date my dealer will get Civic in. I am in Canada.

Probably depends on how large the dealer is and how many sales they do per month of the current civic. That's when i'm thankful i live next to the largest honda dealer in the midwest... they always get a TON of new stock with each delivery.

I work at the Honda plant that builds the crv and you would be surprised I highly doubt that they are running full production of the new civic yet they may have ran a few pre production vehicles but that's about it

Any idea of when they could start producing production model 2016 Civic's? Sure seems like we're approaching the time they would be doing it.

My guess is that full production would be around 2 weeks before the on sale date but the only way of really knowing would be to find out from someone who works in the plant that actually builds the civic they may not even know yet

I emailed the Greensburg Indiana plant inquiring about the official production start date of the 2016 Civic. If I get a response I will let everyone know.

I emailed and called and they would not provide me a date for the official production start. I am sure the date will be available after they are at dealers.

We have no idea when they will start that the actual workers of that plant may not even know until about a week before full production so if you can find someone who works there they may know but my guess is they don't know either

Looks like we'll end up getting little warning of when production will kick off since i highly doubt that aside from line workers that we'll get word from anyone else.

MAYBE some guy that programs the machines but who knows how likely that will be.

FWIW My dealer here in Toronto told me they can guarantee cars on the lot before November 2015...
