Those are both pretty much class competitive/class leading depending on the competition. Very nice. honda didn't disappoint.
amazing!! 174 hp! ridiculously exceeds expectations. and the car looks way better in this video revelation than those leaked photos a few days ago.
I figured the 1.5t would make the same hp as the base just more torque, actually super pumped they went above and beyond and actually made the turbo a class competitive engine with those numbers. Even more excited to get an EX with the 1.5T
I though that it will be 155-160Hp 175/180 TQ like 1.4T jetta and 1.4T cruze...
But we have 174, wow!!
But torque??

And did the EX will have full Led? They said upper trim only...
Whaaaaaaaaaaaat?!?!?!?! That's awesome. If the EX has 174 1.5 turbo, I bet the Si will have 230-250.

The car at the debut was a top line touring. its the only one with full LED headlights... the rest of the lineup has LED tails, project beam headlights and LED accent lights.
where did you guys find the numbers? 40 mpg sounds niiiiceee LOL

They were mentioned by the lead exterior designer during the debut.

He also said class leading refinement, driving dynamics and quietness.

1.5L = 174hp...4hp more than the Golf TSI.

lots of pictures there. i love the center console split storage space.

the overall shape of the sedan reminds me of the Audi A7, which is a plus.

the speedometer is sick!!! center RPM and numeral speed. AWESOME!!!

I'm really glad honda decided to go with class leading power. can't wait to get torque numbers either. And yea, the civic does tend to meet or undercut the mazda on price, and its definitely cheaper than the golf. Those numbers even beat the ford focus and kia/hyundai offerings currently.

Probably a side effect of them lowering the floor in the car to make it sit lower and handle better.
But no manual transmission for the 1.5T
Seems to have it on 2.0 only on LX and base EX.

Good for the daytime light and taillight Led standard :)
No manual transmission for the 1.5T? NO problem! I prefer automatic anyways.
Would have been nice to see a close up of the steering wheel where the buttons are not a blurry.
