Realistically though unless you've spec'd an LX 2.0L with 6-speed manual your officially rated fuel economy will be 31 city, 42 highway, 35 combined. Note the 2.0L loses 1 mile per gallon on the highway to the turbo.
4 mpg city is actually a significant amount worse than the automatic, but it makes total sense. I suspect that most people will be going with the CVT anyway. That is likely why there are many more CVT models than there are the one manual option.
