I have had my civic for 18 months and it has been to the dealer service center 8 times since I’ve had it. It has all been electric issues. All due to the radio. Each time the dealer says they have to reset my system. Just today it would not start and I was told by dealer I need a new battery.
I purchased Honda because it USED to be so reliable. Very disappointed that I am reading numerous people have the same issues and there is no recall or investigation into the vehicles yet.

batteries nowadays....are a crap shoot.

i'm presuming the battery is under warranty...so, you're getting a free replacement - which used to carry a 80 month warranty or 100 month...been awhile since i replaced one.

you don't mention what exactly is wrong with the car other than Honda used to be reliable and it's a 'radio' issue. it still is. i'd put it up against pretty much any other manufacturer out there.

first thing to remember...today's cars are mechanical, hundreds if not thousands of moving parts. electrical doodads everywhere. computer controlled. eventually, something will fail. nature of the beast. some are luckier than others as to when these failures happen.

and there are recalls and TSB's for your car. if your car had these issues, the dealership should have repaired them...again, under warranty.

and there is no mention of how it is driven, maintained or treated.
