The Civic Coupe Touring is actually cheaper than the Civic Touring Sedan. :surprise: Didn't see that coming.

Edit: Found the feature comparison sheet.

And from the spec sheet, it seems like the coupe Touring comes with everything that the sedan does. So that is a real win.

It surprises me too since the Sedan will obviously see more passengers and will have more benefit in their than in a coupe.

But their sound engineers might have figured the coupe was a better vehicle for the audio system since some shapes of cars can help an audio system do its job better.

Its all marketing. Honda spent alot of time differentiating between the demographic of sedan vs coupe buyers when packaging the trim levels to see what coupe buyers found to be more important that sedan buyers. Hence the LX coupe has alloy wheels, and the lower EXT coupe gets the bigger audio system. It's all about whats important to those demographics.

Also, historically speaking, the coupe has always had the larger sound system on lower trims compared to the sedan. And the coupe up until now has been the cheaper of the two, so added small features helped keep coupe and sedan prices closer together, so that may have been another factor, which also explains why the coupe touring is slightly cheaper than the sedan touring.
