First post. First Honda in 20+ years. So far, I love this car but the CVT transmission is hard to get used to and I cannot for the life of me figure out why the tilt steering wheel release is so far under the dash. It's black on black. Was looking at an EX-T but I needed to maximize MPG as I commute 160+ mile round trip every day and don't need turbo temptation. I bought the car in mid April and already have 7K miles in part due to a road trip to DC from N. Texas a couple weeks back. I sleep very well in the passenger seat in this car, something which has always escaped me in my wife's 07 Malibu. The Civic replaces a very road weary 04 Grand Am V6 which I still own and love to drive. Upgrades I hope to have soon are bluetooth/touch screen stereo and alloy wheels. I can't believe how ell equipped this "base" model car is. We stayed at 45MPG highway on the trip to DC and just tickled 48 MPG at one point. Any advice or direction on the stereo upgrade would be welcome. I'm looking for some factory takeoff alloys but that's a while off.

The factory system upgrade is definitely something we're all waiting for a solution on. There's not really much we can do at this point because of the hvac integration on it so it should be interesting.. Other than that, if you're looking for a bit more bump or clarity, swapping out the door speakers and/or installing a line converter is a route you could go.

Would any aftermarket 6-1/2" speakers fit the 2016 civic LX?
I wouldn't really say any, we'll need to figure out how much room is behind the oem speakers to check for depth clearance as aftermarket speakers would take up more room. We just need to find the dimensions of the oem speakers and the remaining room left in the back, otherwise adapter plates are a good route to go as well
