I have to say that I absolutely 99% love my Civic. I've much have purchased and/or leased about 15 Honda's in my lifetime, whether it be an Accord or Civic.

But this is where the 1% falls short. The seats in the 2017 Honda Civic LX are horrifically uncomfortable. After about 30 minutes, my bottom half, and I am a small woman, is in excruciating painful. When I mentioned it to someone, they went for a ride with me and after about 30 minutes, she was looking to get out of the car.

Is anyone else experiencing the same thing?

I've heard this complaint from reviewers as well - I actually assumed it was because they were larger male reviewers but now that I've taken ownership of my 2017 and am reading your complaint, I think I can agree.

Prior to this, I purchased a 1995 Civic before the 1996's came out (with their big bug-eye lights lol), and always remarked about how comfortable the seats were - and how I was probably lucky because I'm only 5'8" and 175 pounds - smaller than the average 'merican male and therefore fit Japanese seats well. Those seats were firm also - but in a supportive way, and a perfect fit for me. Very comfortable.

Fast forward... I've had many non-Hondas since...

So with this 2017, I was thinking along the same lines - "oh, that reviewer is simply uncomfortable because he's larger, and doesn't fit the supportive aspects of the firmer seats". But... I think they did actually make the seats larger for fat-a$$ 'Mericans, as sure enough - my butt doesn't stretch from bolster to bolster. It's less supportive but just as firm.

There's only one solution:
You have to eat nothing but KFC and Pizza for the next year. Somewhere around the 8-9 month mark, you should find yourself fitting your seats suficiently, and having enough padding to make them feel soft and comfortable. :D
