Hey guys! I'm new here and have driven Honda's for the better part of a decade. I ordered a 2018 Honda civic hatchback for my family and am going to be receiving it in a few weeks.

It comes with a terribly boring audio system, I've seen aftermarket stereos that are plug and play and made to fit perfectly into the 2016 and 17 dash. I saw the 2018 dash is the same. Should this mean I can also purchase an android touch stereo made for these cars and use it?

Anyone know?

Don't suppose you have an example plug and play stereo we can see? I'm not sure what kind of stereo you're referring to.

By plug and play I assume you mean no wire splicing? Compatibility can be a little difficult to determine and just because it fits in the dash, does not mean there's no assembly required. Do you plan on installing/swapping it yourself? There should be plenty of android stereos to choose from that will work in the new civic.
