You can check YouTube by typing in something like Honda keyfob programming, but why not contact your local Honda dealer or the Honda help line toll free number? There should be one (help #) in your owners manual, or on Google.

Found this instantly on a quick Google search. It showed methods for different Honda models. This one is supposed to be one for Civic models. I simply Googled "Honda key fob reprogram" or Honda key fob program. Results came up in about 5 seconds.

  1. Enter the vehicle, close all doors and insert the key into the ignition.
  2. Turn the key to the "on" position, then press and hold the "lock" button on the remote transmitter for 1 second. ...
  3. Turn the key to the "on" position, then press and hold the "lock" button on the remote transmitter for 1 second.
There may be different/similar methods for push button start models.

If you click on the link above with the red lettering, it will take you to a bunch of YouTube videos concerning the reprogramming of Honda key fobs. The video I watched was for a non push button start, even though the search said push button start. The above first reply was semi accurate for a key start. The video, shows numerous repeats of up to four times of repeating the key on & pressing & holding the lock button. Not sure if yours is key start or push button start. Mine on my 2018 is push button. Last year I had to replace a battery, & over the phone, my Honda dealer told me how to do it, but I can't remember now how I did it. Call dealer service department or check out the number of videos on the link I sent. Good luck! It can be done.

Additional: One site mentioned that if you are able to program with a key type fob, have both fobs in the car at the same time, or the "good" one may lose its memory if left outside when trying to reprogram the one with the new battery. It is possible that the newer Civics that have push button start may require you to have it done by a dealer, as I have found very little info, for programming that type.

There are a lot of options to fob programming your car keys. Go to your local car manufacturers, and there you will have your keys programmed. If you do not have a service near your house, try entering this web platform carkeyduplication.com, where you will also get some options on how to program your car. You also have another variant which is youtube. Try searching for a tutorial video by writing for example key fob programming for honda or something similar. I am sure at least one of this variants will work out. I hope I was very helpful to you.

One month ago, I was at a party—a small party in the family, with music, burgers, and beer. I got so drunk that I had no idea what I did with my car key. Of course, I came with my friend, because I couldn't drive. But, man, when I wake up in the morning, the first thing was to ask myself where are the car key. I called the family house, asked them to look for my key everywhere. Nothing. Gosh, I get terrified. And I needed my car asap for work. I had to call a car locksmith near me and duplicate my key on the spot. Otherwise, I could be fired from my job.
