I’ve just had to replace the alternator on my 2018 mk10 Civic SR. It has completed 24,500 miles and was 3 months out of warranty. Honda offered to contribute 40% of the cost but this left me having to pay £825. I find it absolutely amazing how an alternator can fail so soon on a 3 year old car. I’ve certainly been put off Honda for life especially after reading about other faults that people are posting about
