This is the third Honda Civic Touring model I have owned. 2016-17 and 18. The oil reset maintenance functions that are controlled through the touchscreen have not worked since purchase. Since I do my own oil changes I have had to just look at the Overdue notification wrench displayed at each startup. I decided to take it to the largest Honda dealer in Texas for an oil change today and notified them of the issue. The service manager told me after diagnosis that this was the first time they had seen this issue. They did show me an alternate way to clear it using the buttons on the steering wheel and menus displayed on the gauge cluster. He said that they would report the issue to Honda.

Thanks for sharing the info. It's good to know in case anyone else has the same issue. You got it reset eventually, right?

Your service personnel are NOT up to snuff! This is a known issue, and there are at least three technical service bulletins on the issue.
