I don’t know what I am doing wrong. I use my trunk many, many times throughout the day. I started my new 2021 sports hatchback to get the AC flowing before I tried to go in the trunk. I left the key fob in the cup holder and pressed the trunk disengage button. Walked over to the trunk with the driver door open and it wouldn’t release. Tried this a few times. Finally had to turn off the car. Close the door. And walk over to the trunk with the fob. And press the disengage button for it to open. Am I doing something wrong? It shouldn’t be that difficult to go into the trunk.

I am not sure if you are doing anything wrong, or it is just being a bit finicky like mine. I have a 2018 Sport Touring Hatchback, & at times the hatch won't release with the finger release button under the lip of the hatch, even with the key fob right in my pocket. It will open by using & pressing the key fob hatch release button after I take it out of my pocket.
