Hoping for an Auto option on the Si as well, as i'd forgo the EX-T and get an Si instead (probably going to have pretty similar cost overall). EX-T is what i'm aiming for though since i'm not holding my breath on an auto Si, but honda might continue to surprise us. Just wonder if they'd do a 6 speed auto, DCT, or CVT on the Si given it's potential engine and power figures.

I also like the touring. Although I would do an EX-T or EX-L if they gave the LED headlights as an option. But, I'm just not sure I would be satisfied with 170-180hp, that and I don't know if I could convince myself to spend $26k+ on a civic when I don't really need the nav or leather.
I totally get your point. I don't like leather seating surfaces at all. But i wan't the more powerful turbo, hence the EX-T being my first choice.

IF the Si comes in an Auto i'd prefer that since it'll basically have all the same features as the EX/EX-T but with the more powerful engine and larger wheels/sporty appointments. And the cost difference between the two is minor +/- $1500 about most likely (if pricing stays similar like honda says it will). I hope the LED lights are an option, as i'd love to have them on the EX-T.

Since i do mostly city driving and short trips i really don't need the Si to drink more gas. The EX-T would give me the low end torque i need to get around while being more fuel efficient, and my 143hp civic is plenty quick for the most part, so i'm sure the 174hp 1.5T will be more than enough to satisfy me.

Thats the one thing I'm counting on, the low end of the 1.5T paired with the specially "tuned" cvt. It seems though Honda more-so than other brands right now don't offer a lot of major upgrades as options. Like if I was specing out a chrysler 200, I could build the S model, and then add HIDs and the premium sound, rather than having to go to a higher trim level.

The one thing I might have to do if I didn't get an Si auto though is change the wheels on the 10th gen. With the exception of the Accord sport/touring wheels, their wheel designs are highly questionable.
I don't mind the wheel designs, and goodness knows i've had nothing but ugly steel wheels with hubcaps thus far. So anything is an upgrade.

Honda packages their cars to make them cheaper to sell. So they limit options like lighting packages and sound systems to a minimum to lessen the variation in models that get made and ordered. It's a pain when you do want one feature like the LED lights but not the rest of the touring features/price.

If i get the EX-T and it doesn't have an option for LED lights i'm going to try hard to find ultra white or xenon bulbs that will match the LED accent lights in color. I'm content with the projectors as long as the lights all match in color.
