Check out these promo videos! I know it's in Thai and not English, but it's neat to watch the features that the new civic RS is offering :)

Honda Thailand has gone ahead and uploaded several videos promoting the many aspects (design and technology wise) of the C-segment sedan, which is already on sale in the Kingdom.

For some reason, I personally don't like how the caller display is within the speedometer area... but it doesn't affect the other display info.

Alot of neat features in the promo videos. I like the engine start with the LCD screen - pretty cool :)

I really like the RS with the premium sport trim to the car. Hopefully, in time, they'll release this in North America. :D

They sell a Fit RS in asian markets as well, and it's really nice looking with some great visual upgrades. I think the RS trims would be a nice addition to our cars here in NA as well, maybe as an accessory package.

It's been like that for a while, even with civic models. One thing I remember seeing is those with 7th gen's getting RS parts, especially RS grilles. But if Mugen comes out with parts I wouldn't mind spending a bit more to go that direction since OEM parts are quite expensive already, almost at the price of some high end aftermarket.

I think anything in RS is nice :D

However, I agree with the Mugen parts, which is the cheaper route and looks decent.

Type R looks aggressive too ;)

What? Mugen is not at all cheap, it's right up there with what you pay for the average high end aftermarket part. It's why there's even a market for Mugen knock off parts lol.

Yea i vaguely remember the 8th gen mugen civic fully equipped hitting over $30k on highest trim models. That's all the body work stuff plus the suspension and exhaust bits. Mugen parts, IMO, are WAY too expensive to be worth it.

Did the Fit RS get and performance upgrades on top of the visual ones? wondering if the Civic RS has anything special under the hood to go with the RS badge.

If i remember correctly when it was shown, the Fit RS did get a sport tuned suspension. Not sure if that meant any substantial upgrades over the base car, but there was that... and it might have had a different exhaust.

All i can remember about it that stuck out was that it had projector headlights (LED bulbs), a more aggressive rear spoiler, RS badging, RS trimmed seats/stiching inside, and unique RS only alloy wheels.

But past those visual upgrades i'm thinking performance stuff was kept pretty minor with just small tweaks made.

Unfortunately if we were offered a similar trim level here it'd probably get the "Touring" name since Chevy already uses the "RS" name for the sonic sport version. And effectively the RS trim civic looks to be almost an exact copy of our Touring here minus the moonroof and probably some of the more expensive tech stuff.

It's like gold to us and a status thing and Mugen knows that, much like many other aftermarket parts from aftermarket companies based in Japan.

HKS will be another one especially since they are now ONLY in Japan.

Having those parts boost your street cred :D
HKS are sickkkk!!! there's a shop in Markham that ships those parts from Japan :D
