If anything it's good for them, adding to the hype and possibly stopping some people from moving onto some other compact and rather waiting to see what this next generation civic turns out to be like.

you make it seem like there are bucket loads of people just waiting to snap up these cars, if your narrative was true the FRS would be volume leader...

That's my point, we're talking about a nearly insignificant tranche of buyers to the companies bottom line. Halo effect be damned, why would they focus on these people if they're not the one keeping the lights on...

Good question, especially when Honda doesn't seem to be doing as well as they should be, or at least that's what it seems to be.

elements of it could make it's way into the civic we're getting.
one thing i'd like to see is LED tubes in the tail lights.
that tech has been around long enough for it to trickle down to the level the civic is at.
