what do you guys think the chances are that we'll hear something official about a north american type r at one of the upcoming american shows?

I have accepted at this point that the Type R won't be coming to North America. I will be pleasantly surprised if it does come.

Even if I wouldn't buy one, I just am sad that I won't see the Type R's awesome spoiler around town ever.

There has been very recent developments in lighting technology that should give companies the ability to do some brand new things with lighting. BMW is showing off new "laserlights" at CES and I'm pretty sure this tech is available to other companies as well. The shapes and scale of lighting is now far more easy to work with.
