I assume once the subscription ends so will the reminder. If it still happens after the subscription expires then you have a very good reason to complain to either Honda or XM Radio. Could not find anything mentioning this in the Owner's manual.
XM told me if I purchased a package to start when the trial ends, the reminder will stop. Obviously it would stop after the trial ends, because the XM won't work anymore.I assume once the subscription ends so will the reminder. If it still happens after the subscription expires then you have a very good reason to complain to either Honda or XM Radio. Could not find anything mentioning this in the Owner's manual.
It's their service, they have a right to say what happens with it. Exercise your right with the radio. Listen to something else.1. its my car I have the right to say what happens and does not happen with my radio
2. this reminder is loud, scared the crap out of me, required me to take my eyes off the road to see what the heck was going on, if someone were to crash as a result of this I'd think XM would be liable
LOL. There's a complaint registered with NHTSA about the 2016 Odyssey not having a big enough low fuel light and also not having an audible warning to make you look at it and how this is all a safety issue. (Never mind that you can always look at the gauge like we used to. This stuff is all there with the expectation that the driver will occasionally look at it.) If it made a noise, then people would complain about the noise scaring them and causing them to crash. Of course, there's a complaint about how the '16 Civic's lack of a glove box lock is a safety issue. Go figure.I told the guy I'm telling you right now this is a serious liability issue for Honda and there needs to be a way to shut this off.
The noise is loud scares the crap out of the driver
Its my car, its my radio, they don't own it I do, they have no right to force me to listen to daily beeping noises. Honda agreed, they said the engineers will find a way to disable this and get back to me. This is annoying as crap to have this go off numerous times in my 75 mile commute. I bought the car with the XM radio because I want to use it, the way I want to use it period. It's their service, they have a right to say what happens with it. Exercise your right with the radio. Listen to something else.

LOL. They could stop offering the service tomorrow. They could discontinue the channels you listen to tomorrow. They could change the content of them to stuff you don't like. It's their service. That's like saying the Globe has no right to print articles you don't like or run ads you don't like. Or that SXM has no right to send you bills since it's your mailbox.they have no right
I'll take that bet.they said the engineers will find a way to disable this and get back to me.

That Honda will come back to you with a way to suppress behavior designed into SXMs silicon and data stream. What bet
