Just want to make sure the dealer isn't trying to upsell me on something that I don't need and don't have my owners manual with me currently. At how many miles does it need to be changed.

Complete replacement is 60k to 100k miles. A simple drain does not remove all of the fluid so if you wanted to attempt to replace all of the fluid you would drain/fill 3x or do the fancy flush the dealership recommends. As a general rule doing a drain and fill every 30k the norm since it replaces a good amount of the fluid well before it all needs to be replaced.

That is best practice. Cheap to do. And get most of fluids out.

Manual transmission fluid is totally different from cvt
fluid or automatic transmission fluid. Sooner is always much better than later if you intend to keep the car more than 3 years

basically, manual transmission fluid is more like gear oil because that is what it does. not expensive like cvt fluid or less expensive than automatic trans fluid. Make sure your manual trans fluid is synthetic. If it's not synthetic manual trans fluid don't waste your money imho
