I am looking gfor some help here. I have my locks on my 2017 EX-L hatch set to auto lock. Most times it beeps once then beeps again few seconds later and locks. I sometimes get a multi beep when I close the door. The key is in my pocket yet it beeps a few times steady then doesn't lock. I then have to open and close the door a couple times before it just beeps the once and then again and locks. Is this something I am doing wrong? It is very annoying and the dealer says bring it in. The natural answer of course. Anyone have any insight?

This has happened to me a few times. I haven't found a reason yet but I know my phone will not let me unlock the doors if it is in the same pocket as the key. So, maybe somehow the phone and key are close enough together to prevent the car and key sensor from interacting.

This is a once and a while thing for me as well. Seems very random and not related to phone or whether the sunroof/or window is open. Some kind of sync thing where it thinks the key is in the car? Opening the door gets it to lock the next time I walk away, once it did the multi-beep and then locked as I walked farther away. Any other theories?

I have found that if I walk away and the sunroof is open, or a window is open, the multi beep occurs. More often than not, if I exit the vehicle, walk a certain distance away, then have a passenger exit afterward, the beeps occur. I have walked away when i had the ignition in the "accessory" mode (not smart, I know!) and the multi beep happens. So I believe it's to alert you that something needs to be attended to? The situations outlined in the manual never seem to be a reason for my multi beeps!
