the ILX is rumored to be getting it... not sure if thats a boon or bust to the Turbo Civic talk?

I hope it does, the Civic needs a powerplant that's potent enough, especially as it's taking a more sporty direction this time around as it seems.

But putting the same engine in both might make the ILX look less desirable. They could always put the same engine in both but limit the speed of the Civic's with tuning or something like that.

while the manual did get dropped... i'm just glad they have a fun 8-speed transmission mated to that 2.4
