When parking the car, I've noticed unanticipated behavior with the brake hold. I didn't expect it to work in reverse - It's all a bit confusing at first.

So I pull into a space cautiously, pausing then wanting to continue by letting my foot off the brake so the car drifts slowly further into the space (I have the CVT). Instead, I have to touch the gas (or stop to turn off brake hold). Not my typical "workflow" when parking. Hitting the gas could lead to a collision, considering how touchy the throttle can be.

It seems like the car sets the parking brake for you. Is that the end result if the brake hold isn't turned off when you park?
