Well I have had my EX-T 3 weeks and already Im annoyed. The seat creaks so annoyingly its irritating to drive. Then I notice the fender on the drivers side is now misaligned and the plastic liner is pulling away from the fender. I was not like that when I bought it. Anyone else experience this. And the **** radio/car play not recognizing my phone half the time I plug it in is infuriating as well. Hoping to get the radio update when I take it in this week but wondering if someone has dealt with this yet. Pic of fender attached

That actually looks like a significant gap there.. have you taken it back to the dealership yet ?
Not for the fender, I was there this weekend to get my plates and told them about the seat and the radio and they said they could fix it when they do the recall on the EPB.

At least being the fender it can't be that bad, might just be a 1/2 hour in the garage to adjust and ensure gaping is how it should be. Beats having the gap being too little since that would eat into paint with vibration that happens.

Someone at the production plant was sleeping on the job. Maybe it was still within tolerances specified by the automaker and that's how it passed inspection, but your dealership should be able to fix it. NO idea what the process would be or how they will pull it back into position.

I was waxing my car I have an EXT coupe and as I was rubbing the rear right quarter panel (mind u I wasn't rubbing hard) pop off the bumper. I notice before that happened the bumper would creak when cleaning. The built quality of this car is cheap...This is my first Honda and probably my last. I had it since May and only Have 345 miles on it and it had 3 visit to Honda for recalls. Tomorrow I have to take it in for radio and third brake light cover is hanging off. I haven't drove it enough to hear seat rattle yet....Hopefully that doesn't happen.... I am stuck with this car for 7 years!

Ive owned so many Hondas and this is seriously the worst. I traded my 14 Accord for this bc I loved the tech this car had but man am I annoyed. Its little things and hopefully Honda handles it when I go in. I have no doubt they will, they have never let me down before. I should have stuck with my mantra to never buy a totally redesigned model in its first model year, but I was excited to own it, once I saw it in person and drove. **** me for walking the lot while getting an oil change on my Accord

2016 LX manual sedan; buzz from b-pillar (common on lots of vehicles with curtain air bags) not loud but noticeable, rattle from raised plastic above driver console(give it a tap and it stops), rattle from glove box door(should be easy to fix myself), extremely loud rattle from passenger seat when not occupied (can even hear this with the radio up). Just found the location of the seat rattle yesterday, prior to that I thought it was coming from the rear passenger door or deck lid, but my daughter said "no its definitely the seat" . When I bang on the back of the seat with my fist theirs something rattling around in there. I also have a broken or misaligned clip on the bumper skin where it meets the drivers side fender under the headlight, the bumper sticks out about 1/2 " from the fender, you can push it back flush but after you drive a short distance it's sticking back out again. This is my forth Honda and by far the lowest of quality control , but it is the first "new gen" car I have owned so shame on me.

Ultimately the first thing to do is to remove the fender and check out how it was mounted, since often there's a range of movement built in since not everything can be spot on every single time for millions of these, so allowing for say a 1/2 inch diameter of adjustment all the way around is very common.

Wow, that's a long list of problems but the dealership should fix all of them under warranty. They may need to completely replace the passenger seat if the rattling is coming from inside it, doubt you'd want them tearing into the seat.

I detail a lot of vehicles and have owned 4 Civics and an Acura and I'll tell you there is far worse out there . None of mine have had anything mych foe issues outside of a gps glitch. The only ones I have owned with better fit and finish were the Audi/VW family.

Ive owned 10 Hondas, some new, most used and this Civic is by far the worst build quality of the Hondas Ive owned. while I know there are far worse out there, this one is the one I own and it sucks that it happened to me. Hopefully Honda takes care of this, heck I can handle the fender gap, I cant take this god forsaken rattling creaking seat. Its worse than screaching brakes pads at the end of their useful life

I bought my car to Honda for the Radio and Hanging third brake light cover, since the problem was happening when I took the car in that day there was nothing they could fix which is understandable. The third brake light cover the Service Manager told me". they had one other car and they tried to fix it with double side tape and it didn't hold, and they are waiting for Honda to issue a fix,in the meantime if it completely fall off place it in the glove box." which I find it highly unacceptable.God only knows how long its going to take for Honda to develop a fix.
My sister and bother in law swears by Honda, but I should of stood by my cut feeling and stay away from them.
There's some people on this forum that says all I do "is complain" but isn't that one of the reasons for the Forum to let others know whats going on..

Hence why I'm always a fan of the whole idea of going against the grain of buying a new car in its first year and instead buy the last year or 2nd last year of the previous generation, or something else CPO from the same brand or other brand to your liking.

So many perks in doing that if you don't care for the latest things.

No gripes with my 16 EX-T.Before I decided to buy this particular car I inspected everything from fender gap to door jams to the engine bay to the wheels etc.I then bought it.My dealership had 65 Civics in stock and 5 in lunar silver.

Panel gap is often a huge thing for me.. But there definitely is that tolerance area. GM used to have a 5mm panel gap with 2mm of tolerance allowed. Even that apparently was too much because they had to bring the number down.
