Canadian Paddle Shifters

My wife and me both bought Rallye Red Civics last week. Hers an LX and mine the EXT. I have the paddle shifters. The paddle shifters don't have the L range on the shift. And our manuals has nothing about the paddles at all. I can understand not needing a low range with the paddles. Anyone else in Canada notice this?
