Yes.
By whom? Owners don't seem to. Honda may not be so sure.
This has been mentioned in several threads on the other Civic X forum. Not sure anybody has a definite or official fix. One owner had a D-I-Y hack.
Yes.Has anyone else experienced this? I would expect that this isn't considered normal, right?
They aren't actively controlled like in some Mazdas. My thought is that they just aren't well balanced and, when hot, whatever holds them in place expands so much--reducing the tension holding them in place--that they naturally tip toward the heavier side.Is it possible that they are pointed up during the first few minutes because that's where the warmest air is ?
Gotcha. They aren't actively controlled like in some Mazdas. My thought is that they just aren't well balanced and, when hot, whatever holds them in place expands so much--reducing the tension holding them in place--that they naturally tip toward the heavier side.
They probably have to go in on the back end and turn off troll modeHaha... I'll bring that up to the folks at the dealership when I take it in next!
Wow, this has got to be the quirkiest issue I've ever read or seen. However, I've yet to experience this and I live in San Antonio, Texas where it's hotter as **** lately.
My wild guess is the plastic expanding and contracting from the heat but that doesn't explain why some have this happen to them and others (like mine) have not.
