Is there a way to have the screen go dark or to a wallpaper mode?

Yes and yes, to go dark there is a button on the top left of the screen. By depressing It the screen will dim three levels then go black. This is an android tablet and you can set up any wallpaper or live wallpaper or any picture you wish to upload or download ( I suggest upload as it is super slow at opening web pages)

huh, the '16 radio is different than previous models...albeit looks similar. they have completely removed the CD player...and removed the buttons on the upper right that allows you to dim or turn off the display completely.

wish there was an easier way to share photos...so you can see the difference.

There is a little button on the top left of the radio you can touch to dim or brighten your radio. Im attaching a pic and have circled and put an arrow pointing at it

oh....on top of the radio..literally....on top.

it's on the upper RH corner of the screen of the earlier versions
