I am wondering is there a performance difference between the hatchback and Sedan models. When I have done research online seems 0-60 times are about the same, with the hatchback getting worse fuel economy and recommending premium gas.

Any info is greatly appreciated as am looking to purchase one or the other

The hatchback's 1.5L turbo engine has a bit more horsepower in the sport trim, but it boils down to what you prefer. I'm more partial to sedans than hatchbacks even with the performance difference.
Thank you for the replying. I want to know does the extra HP translate into better performance? I have not found a clear distinction on this yet.

daily driving....no, you won't be able to tell a difference between the two. a timed drag race, maybe a tiny bit of difference...maybe. supposedly, the same engine, with the CVT is quicker than the manual version.

if you plan on modding the engine/drivetrain...then, does it really matter as to which one you get?

I am in no way interested in modding. I am simply a person looking for a good combo of being fuel efficient, decent performance with the price to match. I am leaning towards the sedan only because outside of me liking the way the hatch looks a little more, there doesn't seem to be much benefits. Sedan is cheaper to run, and seems to have equal performance.
