I heard some rumors that hatchback won't be available in US. Hope it's not true.

Hatchback Si or Hatchback in general?

Because someone high up at Honda has even given us volume estimates for the hatch in NA...
What are the chances we could be seeing these at the North American International Auto Show? Because it seems like Honda is trying to spread out the debuts to keep the hype going rather than showing us everything all at once.

Honda confirmed an 18 month rollout period for all the new civics. We've got the sedan first, next the coupe. Then the Si coupe and sedan. Which means we wont see hatch or type R for about a year from now.

yes but is that 18 month rollout a time frame for availability or actual debuts. Becuase Honda could show us the hatch and the Type R and then sit on them for months like the coupe concept...

It is assumed that when they say 18 month rollout it means the actual release of the cars to be on lots. It wouldn't make any sense to refer to it as a rollout for just showing the cars as debuts... rollout means on the lots for sale. So the last variant, the type R will be available 18 months from the on sale date of the sedan (roughly).
This is good, the sooner they announce everything else the sooner they announce the Type R.

Exactly, that doens't mean we wont see the Type R for a year, it means you cant buy a type R for a year. semantics my friend, semantics ;)

That's not what i was saying at all....

I assumed we would SEE the type R before then, but most people are more concerned with when they can actually buy, i was referring to on sale date, not when we'll get to see the car.
possible after a one or two year release of the type R honda might release a SI version of hatchback. never know.
