I went yesterday to replace the tires on my 2016 Civic Touring. After the shop did my alignment, the instrument cluster lit up like a Christmas tree. The shop tried everything (they knew of)to get the lights to not come back on but no dice. The car is driveable but the following shows up in the "info" screen:

DRIVE CAREFULLY SYSTEMS INITIALIZING

ROAD DEPARTURE MITIGATION SYSTEM PROBLEM

COLLISION MITIGATION SYSTEM PROBLEM

HILL START ASSIST PROBLEM

VEHICLE STABILITY ASSIST PROBLEM

POWER STEERING SYSTEM PROBLEM

BRAKE HOLD SYSTEM PROBLEM

BRAKE PROBLEM

TIRE PRESSURE MONITOR PROBLEM

ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE PROBLEM

The shop refunded my money on the alignment but I still have the these lights on and apparently the features are inoperable.

Mind you, the car did not have any issues when I took it to get tires and an alignment.

Has anyone else experienced this? If so, what was the remedy? I could sure use some guidance on this.

I have a feeling that I'm gonna be taking it to my Honda dealer for a fix.

Reset your head unit. Hold the Power button on your Radio for 4/5 seconds until you get a warning to reboot. Yes, the system will reboot, and then these will go away. Maybe not right away, but they will.

Why would you even need an alignment, unless your tires were showing some kind of uneven wear, or a noticeable steering difference. I thought that most modern cars no longer needed alignments, or possibly don't even have adjustments for doing so. I may be totally wrong though, as I am not a mechanic. Was it your idea for a good reason, or did the tire place want to sell you something you didn't really need?

I was replacing the tires and the old tires showed uneven wear.I never replace tires without an alignment

UPDATE:
Took my car to the dealership and they did a software re-install. 6 and a half hours later and $61.64,I was good to go.

I am guessing that the suggested reboot mentioned by 2020antman didn't work then. Dealer charge hit your wallet, but could have been a lot worse from some unscrupulous dealers. Did the dealer give any possible reason for the unusual problem? With everything being so computer connected on newer cars now, I suppose it could be almost anything, & a coincidence or something the alignment did to a sensor or something. Surprised that a newer car like yours has an alignment problem, unless in the past you hit one heck of a bump or huge pothole to do it. I have a 2018 Civic Sport Touring Hatchback myself, & love it!

Regardless of whether you see unusual wear or not, it is ALWAYS a good idea to have the car aligned when having new tires installed. I liken this to changing the car's oil but not replacing the filter, or rotating tires but not inspecting the brakes at the same time.

Also, it's good to remember that since these cars use the ABS system for TPMS, uneven tire wear will trigger the low tire warning system. Regular tire rotation is very important in order to live an annoyance-free life.

You can also try doing a hard reset yourself by unplugging the negative portion of your battery for 5 minutes then plug back in! I had the same issue with mine and this is what I did!

FYI tho after this your cluster gauge will light up again but only for a few seconds then will reset to manufacture settings!
