I just got a 17 and I am wondering the best way to do a standstill burnout? I tried using the break hold button but it seems to just dissengage once the car starts moving forward.
But realistically if the parking brake is auto-disengaging, the only thing you can really do is soak the front tires and ground, and have two people hold it. Try popping the clutch at a higher rpm and try not to break anything in the process.
Not sure about just Canadian models, but the e-brake doesn't auto-disengage in my coupe 6sp with my seat belt off, as well ...
I haven't tried this specifically, but try holding the switch in the up position throughout?
