i mounted mine on the left side "driver side" of the rear view mirror, see pic
Hm, has it worked ok there? In my search for answers I ran across the E-ZPass page for Maine, which says if you have tinted glass to make certain the pass is mounted at least an inch below the tint. If tint can mess it up, I'd be a little concerned about what that frit would do.i mounted mine on the left side "driver side" of the rear view mirror, see pic
Yeah, that's where I ended up putting it. Haven't used it yet, so good to know that it works there. I wish it were a little more discreet, but whatever works I guess.I have mine mounted underneath the Honda Sensing plastic housing, behind the rearview mirror. It works just fine in this position, and it's behind the mirror so I don't see it when I'm driving.
I put mine way to the left of the rear view mirror (Passenger Side) Because when I had it closer, it was interfering with the auto dimming mirror. Works perfectly there, I have the new low profile ez pass, so much nicer than that clunky old big white squareJust curious, does anyone know the best location for mounting an E-ZPass in the Civic Touring? That big piece of black plastic (that I'm assuming is a sensor cluster for the Honda Sensing) on the window behind the mirror is blocking both of the places that E-ZPass VA recommends in their mounting instructions.

I guess I'm going to try mounting it below that and hope that it's still high enough to not block my view and to be picked up at the toll booths. I'm curious what others have done though.
That's why I moved mine away from the dotted area further to the passenger side, and I pay attention at the toll booth to see if I get the green light or not. If I don't I call EZ pass right away. I'm also short, 5'1" >I have had an issue with my old EZPass and recently ordered a new one. We drove from MA to RI, MA to CT, and MA to NY during February and I got hit with a bunch of charges because it do not get "picked up" at every toll. I'm fighting them, but still have not mounted my new low profile pass. It is very difficult to mount according to the direction on the MA EZPASS website, and still not have it in my line of sight or vision, and being 5ft tall does not help. Curious if the transponder is picked up through the dotted shade area.
