Looks great! What was it left over from?
Ref oil change, let us know if there are any "gotchas" involved.

I updated the first post about the donor car.

The oil change was very easy. There were 4 screws and 6 ....turn pins?.. to take off the metal cover to get to the drain bolt and oil filter. The filter is easy to get to so that makes it easier.
Thanks. I know most cars today have the bottom pan for better aero, and was wondering if it was plastic, with plastic retainers that would go bad after a couple of removals and installs.
Which front lip is that ? Like which company, a buddy of mine has a Brz and that front lip looks really nice ! Also extremely interested to see how this turns out, Good Luck !!

the lip is the frs HT Auto front lip. I love the way it looks more certainly have to be a little bit more careful on inclines/declines. The lip is urethane but I'm still always careful.

Nice thanks ! It actually flows very well with the lines of the front bumper, almost like it was meant for it ! Totally have to be a bit more careful though, going up and down on an angle is always key
Hard to tell with the angle of the pictures, but does the lip extend all the way to the wheel arch with the bumper ?

It really does fit and flow very good. I myself drive a lowered car already but my wife has already said it's impossible to not scratch under the lip going into the parking garage at work...I wonder what's going to happen when I lower the car haha.

yeah it is hard to tell but it does go all the way . I'll post a picture when I get home

edit. picture post.
the main thing I was worried about was the ends of the lip lining up with the ends of the bumper so I taped it into place on both sides first to make sure both sides will be right.

Oh man that looks really good. I'm surprised it's so on point !

I was quite surprised as well..I'm glad it fit so well.

The garage door seal? I've tried that on my old 08 civic sedan with the lip and also when I got the jdm mugen bumper. I liked it. I like the lip right now so I will probably stay away from the rubber lip. People are paying about $30 for that piece that they can get for $10 at the store..shhhhh. don't tell anyone haha.

Lol Home Depot is the spot ! Did it actually do well "protection" wise, or more so just aesthetics ?

Protection wise, eh Not much, because it's foam it'll just rip so I had to replace it a few times until I didn't want to keep replacing it and just left it off. I was pretty low though but if you were to add it to a car that wasn't so low, it'd probably be fine.
You could probably put some metal brackets inside the rubber lining so it holds its shape and then sell it on eBay as a product specific to the Civic ;)

Easy way to make $15 a piece.

I should sell the FRS lip as a Civic lip and just say modification required >:)..I mean...we have no other lips made for us and the FRS lip here looks so good on the car 0:)

Yea that makes sense, they don't seem like a resolution to really help much. But selling the FRS lip as a Civic lip is genius ! "Exclusive front lip" ;)
You didn't have to cut into the lip at all? where did you get the lip? Thinking if any other FRS parts are civic compatible.

Nope no cutting at all required. I bought the lip for my frs on ebay. it's called the ht auto lip and runs about $90. This one fits good because it mounts under the bumper so maybe some of the other polyurethane lips that fit under the bumper will fit too. I just don't have any of those lips to test.
