So having my Civic through 2 winters, I decided to tidy up a bit under the hood of the Civic. Apart from the usual dirt and sand, I noticed that there was an abnormal amount of salt caked on the shock tower mounting point.
After the first winter (2017) there was some dirt that I simply cleaned off, but this year there is clearly rust that has started to develop. At the strut tower, the paint is starting to bubble and is becoming orange. I was able to clean off the salt and the coat of orange rust, but the bubbling is still there.
Has anyone other than me had a similar issue?

2016 Civic Ex sedan around 39 000 km, mostly highway.
