Just picked up a Civic Hatchback LX last week. Fantastic car, really love the way it drives and extra space it has (I previously owned a Fit)
I was swapping in some winter floor mats and noticed something odd. When i moved the front passenger stick floor mat, there was a plastic trim piece unstuck from the carpet ( i think it says "crossmember" or something" and a strange hole filled with sound-dampening material. The hole is covered by carpet but it still seems a little strange. The hole is oval, about 3" wide and 5" long. The hole does not go through the floorboard, it's like a shallow divot.
Anyone else have this strange divot? If not, I'm going to take it back.
