It is my understanding that you can get an auto-dimming rear-view mirror with built in compass as a dealer add-on option on all trim levels. I think it is standard on the Touring, but could be wrong.

What all is involved to add this mirror? Is it pre-wired and basically just a bolt-on deal? I am not sure if I would want to add the option if it involved the headliner having to be removed, etc.

Thanks.

I don't think the power cable for the mirror will already be installed without the mirror being installed.
The install instructions PDF here for the mirror here shows you have to install the cable:

Note that most (all?) auto dimming mirrors are made by Donnelly or Gentex. Honda doesn't make mirrors of course. You can buy the exact same mirror as an aftermarket part. I did that on my truck.

Thanks for the link Slick. Wow, good info there on the instllation. I definitely do not want all of those panels removed on my car (if I were to get one). If I couldn't get a high enough of a trim to have it factory installed, I would likely pass on the option. I don't want a compass that bad. lol.
