Making the hatch available as a performance trim would be the ideal way to go, great way to batch the two civic micro-niches together... hatch and performance into one package that north american civic fans will like a lot.

already a lot guys in NA are digging the Type R hatch, see it all over social media and here of course

A hatchback isn't like diesel or a wagon. It would be quite popular in the US, so I don't see why they wouldn't sell a hatchback Civic in the US.

Yes, and unlike a wagon it would have better chances at success
as many already know, America isn't hatch market.

Yes it is, they just call them CUV's

Doesn't change the fact that actual wagons don't cut it, changes are needed, those changes that make them into CUV to then be able to be sold.
