I'm the current owner of a 7th Gen EP3 Si, former owner of a disappointing 9th Gen Si and likely future owner of 10th gen.

I have been a Honda fan for 30 years but after a disappointing 15 months with a 9th Gen Si, I looked elsewhere and have been having fun with Mercedes.

I checked out the 10th gen at the local Honda dealer and was happy to see Honda making a comeback IMHO.

I'll be around investigating and learning all I can about the 10th gen. I hope you don't mind having me around.

You will see me on other Honda and Mercedes forums as rvittori, intelli, or Jupiter Red.

Why would we "mind having you around?" We're happy to have new people around!

What is the story with the 9th gen Civic that you had?

While my 2012 9th Gen SI had a great engine and transmission, I had the following issues:

1. Seat were too soft, nothing like the Recaro sourced seats in my 7th Gen Si.
2. The doors were so long, getting in an out of the car at work was near impossible.
3. The suspension was soft in the corners.

The straw that broke the camels back was a friend let me try his 2012 Focus ST, and I realized I should have shopped around instead of just going for my Honda.

I started shopping around and fell in love with the WRX, the Focus ST and the Mercedes CLA and bought the CLA. Have since traded up to a GLA45 AMG.

Looking forward to trying out a 10th Gen Si and a Type R but I won't just buy a Honda without showing the competition anymore.
