I am a new member and future civic owner in Los Angeles. I have decided that I want a Civic Hatchback. In particular the sport trim. I have been negotiating with a few dealerships for about a week now. I'm very new to both this forum, and also car buying. This is the first brand new car that I will have ever bought. Any idea what kind of price I should shoot for? Anyone who has gotten a good deal on one that can advise me on what a good price would be? I'd greatly appreciate it!

For starters, you should not have to pay over MSRP. about $500 or more off of MSRP is fair. My two cents is also don't take any of the dealer warranty stuff. They will try and sell you on all kinds of crap you don't need. Just stick with what Honda offers.
