Aluminum is great for reducing the weight of a car and increasing mpg but I'm not sure if I want my hood to be made completely of aluminum. Heard it was hard to work with if you wanted to fix it. You can easily fix steel hoods but if you want to fix aluminum the auto body shop will need a special room for it to separate the steel from aluminum. Something about iron oxide particles contaminating the aluminum and making it hard for paint to adhere to it.
