2016 civic EX got upgraded from halogen to HID c/o a local provider here in Vancouver: AUTOLISMO $60cdn 4300k h11 kit.

The kit is fully plug n play rated at 35W / 4300K.

installation pretty straight forward... mounted ballasts on metal along sides.
waiting for darkness for better pix and possible beam aiming.

OVERALL: our stock projector lens are NOT meant for HIDs at all.... i mean, the beam is ok...but definitely not as bright or wide dispersal as a normal HID setup with appropriate projectors.

NIGHT TIME PIX COMING SOON.

...and picked up a civic 'JUNIOR' lol....

my morimoto are the best there is and they work perfectly with our halogen projector. Long throw, directed light where it should go and the cutoff is nice and good quality 35w 6500K

i think my case is a matter of 'u get what u pay for' although the seller is quite reputable in my area.

Here are more pix...most likely removing it and checking out other options...but was fun to be able to install my first ever HID kit although it was completely plug n play.

Here are pix...not a big fan of that huge gap in front between the bumper and actual light on the road.

I just dropped my wing off to be painted and the shop is going to mount my ballasts for my HIDs for me. He said the Morimoto kit is the best out there and I may even do morimoto fogs too while its there

I reseated the bulbs...they weren't in the sockets fully... the output seems fine now.

here's some video footage of my civic (with the 4300k HIDs) from behind my RDX.

The color is so much nicer than OEM! I like the minivan running the red light at 2:08.
Keep in mind the color will burn in and change after about 30-40 hrs of use. Mine were much more blue when new and settled in nicely to a near match of the DRL and Im running the morimoto kit with 6500k bulbs

Could y'all post up some front shots from a distance of about 100ft at night? I got a set of LEDs and don't like the way they performed. Looking to switch to HID, but I'm not down for wasting money. Especially the Morimoto, I'm interested in them according to y'alls reviews, but again, if I just need to go back to halogen, then so be it.
