Honda Bosses Presentation on Civic Coupe Performance, Design, Specs, Trims & Colors

Honda held a Media Launch of the Civic Coupe in San Diego. About an hour of event coverage here and the most you'll be able to find out for now, no where else will you find anything as informative:

The columbus autoshow is the 3rd week of March, and i am hoping hoping and praying that they manage to get a coupe in time for the show so that i can gush over it, and won't have to make a special trip to the dealer just to see one. haha. Fingers crossed!

One thing I was looking forward to was hearing of a date for the Type R and Si release dates or at least when we'll hear about them but they didn't say anything about that... just that they are indeed coming to market.

I hope so too and maybe they'll bring along paint samples for you to look at. Maybe take some pictures and post them here.

Oh, i will be taking a ton of pictures. if anything a brochure for the coupe would be a nice take home, and those usually have paint swatches in them too.

You might be lucky to see a pallet of the real exterior and interior colors. I know some car makers do that and distribute them to just about all the dealers.

Next best thing to seeing it on the actual car.

Fortunately the only color unique to the coupe is Energy Green, the rest we can find on the sedan.

I saw John Hwang interviewed on ToV and he mentioned 10 lb lighter for the coupe at the ex level. The difference that 5" and a door less, vs. a big door is surprising.

Although 10LBS isn't much at all it probably means something big to them elsewhere, might be able to be levereaged with marketing material or something.

Hopefully we'll see better improvements in coming years.
