Spy photographers have snapped some pictures of a Honda Civic Type R mule doing cold weather testing in Northern Sweden. The mule is heavily camouflaged and looks production ready.

It appears that the styling at the front won't be quite so aggressive as the concept. Fans can be excited that the large spoiler appears to be making it to dealerships in the end.

The Civic Type R will be powered by Honda's 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that should make between 280 and 300 hp. Reports also indicate that Honda will equip Civic models with a new turbo VTEC four-cylinder engine in the near future.

I'm just very happy that the spoiler is sticking around. I hope that the taillights are integrated into the spoiler like on the concept. That is the best design feature of the Civic Type R in my opinion.

they have led headlights on the accord... good chance we'll get on a high trim civic
even if it's just an entry-level led setup i won't mind.

Quite possible, at least on the higher trim levels. I think that it would be a mistake to at least not offer it as an option. Many would opt for it I'm sure.
